Safety & Escrow Guide

As a buyer hiring service providers on WorkReceipt, protect your investments with these rules:

• Verify WorkScore Tiers: Check the merchant's reputation card (Platinum, Gold, or Diamond). A higher WorkScore indicates a long history of dispute-free, successful deliveries.
• Inspect Live Photo Capture: Never release funds before reviewing the photographic proof submitted by the merchant. Verifiable metadata matches the location coordinates of the job site.
• Understand Auto-Release: If a job is completed and you fail to review it, funds will automatically release to the merchant after a window defined by their WorkScore tier (e.g. 24 hours). Keep track of notifications.

As a merchant/service provider, make sure you protect your labor and draw materials credit safely:

• Confirm "Active" Status: Never start work or buy supplies until the job status in your dashboard updates to FUNDED / ACTIVE. This guarantees the money is locked in Nomba custody.
• Live-Camera Captures: When taking proof photos, make sure you are at the physical site. System coordinates must match the contract location within a secure radius to pass verification.
• Finance & Advances: You can draw materials advances up to your pre-approved limit. Outstanding advance draws are automatically deducted from the final payout when the buyer confirms release.
